FEES
Lakeside Medical is a mixed billing practice. Payment is required at the time of consultation. We accept EFTPOS, Credit Card [NOT AMEX or Diners] or cash. Please refer to the table at the base of this section for basic consultation costs. Please ask reception or your Doctor for any other costs you may incur.
A standard consultation is for 15 minutes. If you have more than one medical concern to discuss, please ask for a longer consultation.
As of Monday 8th March ALL patients [except school age and old age pensioners] will pay the FULL fee for the first appt.
This means ALL Centrelink Pension card and Health Care Card holders will pay the full amount for their first appointment – and then be bulk-billed for consecutive appts.
BULK-BILLING
We offer bulk-billing for the following groups: School aged children aged to 17 years; Health Care card holders; Pension Card Holders and DVA Gold card holders. Please ensure you bring your concession card to the appointment to be sighted by reception staff, otherwise bulk-billing may not apply.
ONLINE CLAIMING
If you have your bank account details registered with Medicare, we can send your claim through on-line and your rebate will be paid into your account within 24-48 hours. If you would prefer to claim your Medicare rebate yourself, a receipt can be printed.
CANCELLATIONS
If you cannot attend your appointment, we respectfully request a minimum of 2 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment without giving the required notice, a non-refundable private fee of $78 [standard] or $118 [Long] will apply at Doctors discretion.
