To adhere to government social distancing recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID 19 we have closed our waiting room effective Monday 23rd March 2020.

FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENTS
Routine [face to face] appointments are available for all patients who do NOT have respiratory symptoms. As the waiting room is closed please wait in your car OR outside and ring reception on 0738180700. We will contact you when the doctor is ready and admit you to the practice. Please respect 1.5m distancing as far as is possible.
For vulnerable patients to minimise their risk of attending the surgery we are offering telephone consultations. These will be bulk-billed through Medicare for all patients. This includes routine consultations and consultations for GP mental Health plans and GP Management Plans for chronic disease such as diabetes.
TESTING FOR COVID 19
Testing is now available in Queensland for anyone with a fever and acute respiratory symptoms [cough, sore throat, shortness of breath]. If you are unwell please contact us for a phone appointment and the doctor will make arrangements for you to be tested for COVID19. We do NOT have facilities here to examine or test respiratory patients but can direct you to the nearest testing facility or dedicated respiratory clinic. Whilst waiting for your test result you will be advised to self-isolate.
We will NOT be running flu clinics this year. Instead we will offer individual appointments for immunisation with the flu vaccine. The vaccines will be available from mid April. FREE government flu vaccine is available for those aged over 65 or under 5, pregnant women, ATSI and patients with chronic disease such as Diabetes. We can provide a prescription for a private flu vaccine – please make a telephone appointment to arrange this.
We are taking these steps in line with government recommendations to protect our patients, staff, and Doctors. We will continue to try to provide services to our patients to the best of our ability in these difficult circumstances. If we have arranged to fax your prescription to a pharmacy, please allow us time to process these requests as our staff are dealing with many requests a day. please be patient as we are being overwhelmed with enquiries and will respond as soon as we can.
